| This section includes softshells and windproof fleeces: these are not the same thing! A softshell should be windproof (or extremely highly wind-resistant), water-resistant and more breathable than any hard shell (i.e. waterproof). At the moment, if it has a membrane in, it isn't a softshell (regardless what it says on the ticket)! Windproof fleeces do what they say on the tin: they are fleeces that are completely windproof. They often include a membrane: this makes them also very water-resistant, but at the cost of some breathability. All the garments in this section have been designed specifically for women. |
