| As with all Nikwax products, (except the original tinned wax) they are water based, which means that the waterproof solution goes exactly where it’s needed, therefore avoiding waste, being water based they can be applied to wet or dry outerwear and are also safer to use, especially an advantage if you treat your waterproof clothing indoors! Dirt will attract water and reduce the beading-up of droplets on the fabric's surface. Never use liquid detergents or fabric softeners. Nikwax use a simple colour code system: Green for clean and Purple for proof. • Cleans and protects the water-repellent finish on waterproof clothing. • Designed for ALL types of clothing. • Solvent free cleaner is formulated to maintain the water repellency without effecting breathability. • Doubles the life of Nikwax proofing treatments • Suitable for Gore-Tex®, Ultrex®, Entrant®, eVENT® and Triple Point®.
