| The Xtrail provides a good value full-size binocular, whilst still keeping construction size to a minimum – thanks to its Reverse Porro prisms (the prisms are offset vertically, rather than horizontally, reducing construction size by about 30%). As well as the outdoor types and travellers, this binocular from Barska is especially suited to those who are into watching birds and other wildlife. Blue lenses: better than red if you want to watch birds or other wildlife, as red lenses look like predators’ eyes (we’re told) and scare away the critters! • Magnification: 10 X. • Objective Lens Diameter: 50mm. • Field of view: 122m. • Minimum focus distance: 6m. • Exit pupil: 4mm. • Coated lenses (blue). • Reverse porro prisms (boro-silicate). • Centre focusing (plus adjustable eyepiece). • Rubber body. • Rubber fold-down eyecups. • Tripod adaptable. • Weight: 800g. |
