The Atlantic is a fine-looking waterproof binocular that is great for use on boats, as well as being pretty decent for more general outdoor and travel uses. A good all-rounder and ideal if your travels will involve messing about in boats… This model from Barska uses barium crown glass prisms which have a higher glass density than boro-silicate prisms producing less light scattering and sharper images. Blue lenses: better than red if you want to watch birds or other wildlife, as red lenses look like predators’ eyes (we’re told) and scare away the critters! • Magnification: 10 X. • Objective Lens Diameter: 25mm. • Field of view: 101m. • Minimum focus distance: 8m. • Exit pupil: 2.5mm. • Fully coated lenses (blue). • Roof prisms (barium crown glass). • Centre focusing (plus adjustable eyepiece). • Rubber body. • Rubber fold-down eyecups. • Waterproof. • Weight: 800g. |
