Unlike conventional snow chains, grip is provided by a strong, hairy fibre, textile surface with no metal parts. Dry snow and ice sticks to the fibres which run at right angles to the rotation direction of the tyre, creating friction and traction. Anyone who's made snowballs in wool gloves will be familiar with this effect!

Assuming sufficient hand room exists to pull them over the top of the tyre, Veriga Snow Socks are extremely simple to fit and automatically self centre as you drive.
